ELDRIDGE TOY RUN
IS A SUCCESS
It was cold
and there was even light snow in the area, but they still came.
Motorcycle after motorcycle came roaring in for the 7th
Annual Eldridge Toy Run. By day’s end, approximately 450 bikes,
24 antique cars, and 750 people were on our campus for the
“First Saturday in December” benefit. The children received
great gifts from the Team members and Santa. Everyone enjoyed
lunch which included barbecue, chicken, stew, chili, and yes –
PBJ sandwiches. There was plenty of hot chocolate and coffee to
go around, too. The recently completed Faith Activity Center
provided a wonderful place to have the event.
The day was a
financial success, too. As of December 10th, the
total receipts from the benefit totaled over $40,000. The Toy
Run is a real blessing to our ministry – not only for the
financial support, but for what it communicates to the
children. The gifts, donations, hugs, and smiles all say one
thing – “You are loved!”
Thanks to the
Eldridge Benefit Team and all who helped make this year’s Toy
Run a huge success!
