HOMECOMING 2010
REUNION
“This was a great day. It was like coming home.” These were the words of a former resident at the conclusion of our first annual Homecoming held on the FWBCH campus on April 17th. Nearly thirty former residents and their families joined former staff and present residents and staff for a time of reminiscing and fellowship. The attendees participated in telling stories, viewing photos, renewing friendships, sharing updates, and taking pictures. Prior to enjoying a delicious lunch, the residents – past and present – posed for a group picture in front of the original stone building. It was a wonderful sight, seeing people of various ages, all who have been helped by this ministry, walking the grounds on that beautiful, sunny Saturday. Another former resident said, “You made us feel so welcome! Thank you for doing this. I hope many others can be here next year.” We agree! So go ahead and get those calendars out and mark April 9, 2011 – FWBCH 2nd Annual Homecoming.

SINGING
The Homecoming event continued with a benefit gospel singing in the Faith Activity Center. Our featured groups, the Caltons, the Fields Trio, and the Page Trio, all did an outstanding job. All three groups honored Christ and the presence of His Spirit was evident. Friends came from near and far to support the Home and enjoy the music. One attendee commented, “The singing couldn’t have been any better.” To date the benefit has raised over $4,000.00. Others have indicated they are sending a gift. If you or your church would like to give towards the benefit, please send your contribution to FWBCH and earmark it “Benefit.” Plans are to make the gospel singing a part of our annual Homecoming event.
